What are the system requirements for using the platform?
You can use the FakeDoor platform on any device. However, as we have a lot of interactive 3D models, we recommend a good internet connection. Otherwise, it might take more time to interact with the lessons.

Is the platform mobile-friendly, or is the app available?
The platform is mobile-friendly. We don’t have the FakeDoor app yet.

Are there any tutorials on how to navigate the platform?
Currently, we don’t have tutorials. However, our platform is built to be used without any tutorials. The interactive guide will be coming soon.

How do interactive experiences work?
Each topic is made interactive using Unity software. You don’t need to download additional programs to access the lessons and play with the models. When you choose the lesson and the 3D model downloads, you can click on the objects and see animations explaining the chosen topic.

How can I create an account and log in to the platform?
Right now there are two ways to create an account and log in to FakeDoor. You can either create an account with a personal email and set up a password by clicking the ‘Register’ button or use a Google account to log in to the platform by clicking the Google button in both Register and Sign in sections.

To which content/topics will I have access after registering to the platform?
Once you register to the platform, you will have free access to our entire Energy chapter/topic, which contains different topics, subtopics, and practice exercises. You will also be able to create tests with 90+ available questions (multiple choice or open-ended) to practice this Energy topic. To gain access to all other chapters/topics, you can subscribe to our platform by choosing either the annual or the monthly subscription.

Do I need to know anything about the topics before using the platform?
The platform is tailored for students without any science background. You can start using the platform at any level.

What age do I have to be to use the platform?
When you sign up for the platform, you provide your date of birth. The age of consent will vary depending on the country you have chosen. If you are below the age of consent, an automatic pop-up will ask you to email your legal guardians/parents to authorise your access to the platform.

How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password on the settings page.

How do you protect personal information on the platform?
At the moment of your account creation, your password is hashed using a SHA256 algorithm before it is sent to our servers. This means that no one - not even FakeDoor - can see your chosen password. Data is encrypted in transit using SSL, and when it reaches our servers, your password is hashed once more, this time using SHA512 and a unique salt. This ensures that cracking your password would be significantly more time-consuming and expensive for a hacker. Follow basic password guidelines (at least 13 characters, upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters) to enhance security. Once stored, data is safeguarded using secure databases and state-of-the-art technologies.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription or delete my account?
When you cancel your subscription, your account will remain active, and your data stored on our servers until either you choose to delete the account or the account remains inactive for over 2 years. At that point, we will alert you, and if there is no action, we will permanently delete your account. If you delete your account, all personal data will be removed, with only anonymized statistical data retained for platform improvements.
